Finding Elim [Sep. 11th, 2007|05:07 pm]

Well, here it is. The grand opening of my newest strip called "Finding Elim". It's based around a pastor, Bob, and his church and family. I'm basically giving it away for churches to use in their newsletters and websites with the hopes of building readership. Please come by the site and let me know what you think!

Mini-mailer update [Jan. 24th, 2007|09:29 am]
Well, I sent out about 70 minis today. If you still want one, drop me a line. I sent some to some people I haven't talked to in quite a while. If you are one of those people, then how the heck are ya? If you're not into comics, give it to one of your kids. If you are an old curmudgeon with no kids and no sense of humor, then seriously, dude, you should totally add me to your will.

The making of a hallmark [Oct. 26th, 2006|07:02 am]
The other day Ryan and I were discussing the process of creating and marketing greeting cards, and I ran across a very funny movie on the Shoebox site. Perhaps only creative types will appreciate the humor...

Valentine's Day [Feb. 11th, 2006|03:33 pm]
I'm really not a fan of Valentine's day. Most guys feel forced to give gifts, and most girls expect them simply because the machine of commercialism tells us so. Guys could rebel, but we'd just seem uncaring and too lazy or cheap to buy a gift. To make matters worse, it scares us to think of the our wife/girlfriend standing at the watercooler as they compare boyfriends. Ah, well. That said, I did my first mini comic with a Valentine's day theme, and truth-be-told, sometimes the guys need a special day or event to give them the courage to say those 3 little words...

The mini is at: http://www.christophergraphics.com/comics/valentine/index.html

Been a long time... [Nov. 12th, 2005|07:06 pm]
Well, it's been a while since I've updated my journal. We are currently in the process of painting and carpeting the house. And in the advertising world, this is the busy time of year, so no time for fooling around. I have created a self-promotional piece that I'm pretty pleased with, and some fun Halloween greeting cards. I'll post 'em later...

Internet Mosquitos! [Aug. 10th, 2005|07:53 am]
[Current Mood | annoyed]
[Current Music |The Sugarcubes]

Don't you hate mosquitoes? Every year we try whatever we can to avoid them, to kill them off, but they persist. They buzz in your ear, bite your ankles, and generally tick you off. The people who abuse the internet are just as annoying to me. Recently, I've been getting a bunch of gambling and weight-loss sites showing up as referrers to my website. This month, I have maybe 5 legitimate sites that have referred to me and maybe 20 bogus sites. How annoying is that? People like that take advantage of the open-ness of the internet to send robots out to sabotage guest books, troll for email addresses, and send spam, loads and loads of spam. To all the bottom-feeders, cyber-vandals, and worthless bugs, I say quit your "get-rich-quick", work-from-home, looser occupation and add some value to society.

Cool comic relief from a hot Summer [Jul. 29th, 2005|10:05 am]

Just surfed over to Andy's site again ( http://www.andyrunton.com ). If you haven't seen "Owly" yet, you need to check it out. The Owly books would make a great gift for your niece or nephew - support a great artist and be a champ with the kids. Also check out his artwork page for some beautiful works!

One of my daily visits is Chuck's website ( http://www.grabbagcomics.com ). For someone who works full time, PLUS is working on an acting carreer, PLUS does comics for a hobby, I'm humbled that he still cranks out about 3 comics to my one a week. Check out his comic journal, it's political at times, but quite fair and should at least make ya think...
